About Rachel

I hate writing things like this- about myself. Partly because I don’t know who’s going to be reading this and partly because I just don’t know what to say.

I’m about to start two years of teaching third grade in Guadalajara, Mexico. Before this, I lived in Nashville, TN for 5 years, and before that, I was raised in New York. I love reading, deep conversations, children, politics, being outside, coffee, running, eating vegetarian, and used book stores. I really hate ketchup, bad drivers, injustice in any form, and dirty dishes.

Matthew 25:34-36: “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'”

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose. -Jim Elliot

I want to see the world change. And I want to be a part of it.
