i’m back at school 🙂 happily moved in to my new dorm, with wonderful new hallmates and all sorts of change (the good kind). it’s not what i expected, and that’s ok. life is rarely what we expect.

this is going to be a very different semester for me- busier in different ways, but i’m so excited about it. yesterday i got to go back to rolling hills (my wonderful church here) and say hi to the new college ministry interns and the college pastor- i really like them, and can’t wait to see what kind of great changes will be happening in that ministry. during worship we sang this wonderful song that i’ve sung a hundred times before, but they had a sweet background on the powerpoint (like they always do) and there were mountains that moved. i’m honestly not entirely sure that this was intentional, but it was really powerful for me to see that… and just think about what an awesome God i have been given the opportunity to serve this semester.

Everyone needs compassion,
Love that’s never failing;
Let mercy fall on me.
Everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Saviour;
The Hope of nations.

Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

So take me as You find me,
All my fears and failures,
Fill my life again.
I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in,
Now I surrender.

Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We’re singing for the glory of the risen King…Jesus (x2)
